Dwarf ‘Golden Elf’ Spirea
| COMMON NAME | Dwarf ‘Golden Elf’ Spirea |
| BOTANICAL NAME * | Spiraea japonica ‘Golden Elf’ |
| ZONE | 4 – 8 |
| SIZE | 6-9” HT, 1-2’ SP. Great shrub for use as groundcover. |
| FOLIAGE | Emerges bright chartreuse. Will become a little more green during the summer, but will still be a bright spot in the garden. |
| FLOWER | May-June. Pink, flat-topped cymes, and showy. Though I must admit that I’m not a fan of pink with chartreuse. Would much prefer white with chartreuse if the cultivar is ever developed. Attracts butterflies. |
| GROWING CONDITIONS | Full Sun. Will tolerate Part Shade, but won’t be as bright. May never need pruning. Will tolerate clay soils and pollution. |
| NOTES | Deer Resistant. |
